About the role
The position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. It is a Satellite Systems Engineer role supporting the team in Schriever, CO.
Responsibilities
- Advise customers on satellite operation and maintenance.
- Advise customers on ground command and control system operations.
- Participate in technical meetings, author database, and software change requests.
- Perform ground computer system software and database testing.
- Author, maintain, review, and support satellite operations procedures.
- Configure and run simulations to support procedure validation.
- Conduct technical analyses and studies then provide recommendations.
- Perform satellite data trending and analysis to determine spacecraft performance.
- Perform problem solving and support other engineers in a team environment.
Requirements
- Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI (U.S. Citizenship Required).
- Minimum years of related experience: 1+ for level 2, 3+ for level 3.
- Systems Engineering experience.
- Software quality test and validation experience.
- If not already within commuting distance of Schriever AFB, willingness and ability to relocate at own expense.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Engineering Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry (e.g. Bachelor).
Preferred Qualifications
- Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience responding to anomalies for on-orbit communications satellites.
- Experience working closely with US Military customers in an operational and training environment.
- Familiarity with developing software or engineering tools.
Pay
- Associate (level 2): $91,800 to $124,200
- Mid-Level (level 3): $112,200 to $151,800
Schedule
- Ability and willingness to work occasional compensated on-call support outside of typical business hours.
