Operations Engineer (Associate, Mid-Level) - Schriever AFB, CO

About the role

The position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. It is a Satellite Systems Engineer role supporting the team in Schriever, CO.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on satellite operation and maintenance.
• Advise customers on ground command and control system operations.
• Participate in technical meetings, author database, and software change requests.
• Perform ground computer system software and database testing.
• Author, maintain, review, and support satellite operations procedures.
• Configure and run simulations to support procedure validation.
• Conduct technical analyses and studies then provide recommendations.
• Perform satellite data trending and analysis to determine spacecraft performance.
• Perform problem solving and support other engineers in a team environment.

Requirements

• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI (U.S. Citizenship Required).
• Minimum years of related experience: 1+ for level 2, 3+ for level 3.
• Systems Engineering experience.
• Software quality test and validation experience.
• If not already within commuting distance of Schriever AFB, willingness and ability to relocate at own expense.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Engineering Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry (e.g. Bachelor).

Preferred Qualifications

• Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Experience responding to anomalies for on-orbit communications satellites.
• Experience working closely with US Military customers in an operational and training environment.
• Familiarity with developing software or engineering tools.

Pay

• Associate (level 2): $91,800 to $124,200
• Mid-Level (level 3): $112,200 to $151,800

Schedule

• Ability and willingness to work occasional compensated on-call support outside of typical business hours.
