About the role
Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space and Launch Division, seeks an Associate or Mid-Level Operations Engineer to serve as a Satellite Systems Engineer supporting the team in Schriever, CO.
Responsibilities
- Advise customers on satellite operation and maintenance.
- Advise customers on ground command and control system operations.
- Participate in technical meetings, author database, and software change requests.
- Perform ground computer system software and database testing.
- Author, maintain, review, and support satellite operations procedures.
- Configure and run simulations to support procedure validation.
- Conduct technical analyses and studies then provide recommendations.
- Perform satellite data trending and analysis to determine spacecraft performance.
- Perform problem solving and support other engineers in a team environment.
Requirements
- Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI (U.S. Citizenship Required).
- Systems Engineering experience.
- Software quality test and validation experience.
- If not already within commuting distance of Schriever AFB, willingness and ability to relocate at own expense.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Engineering Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience responding to anomalies for on-orbit communications satellites.
- Experience working closely with US Military customers in an operational and training environment.
- Familiarity with developing software or engineering tools.
