Operations Data Analyst, Senior

About the role

Location: Oakland, CA. Duration: December 19, 2026 – April 18, 2027. The role is hybrid with once a month onsite. Analytics support for NPA and zonal electrification programs, an initiative focused on accelerating building electrification to avoid gas infrastructure investments and support long-term decarbonization goals.

Responsibilities

• ETL Pipeline Creation: Develop and maintain an extract-transform-load data pipeline across multiple different core data environments to screen and prioritize electrification opportunities across system.
• New Data Sources: Provide recommendations to enhance data pipeline with new data sources and improved data processes.
• Process Automation: Create automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery, ensuring accurate data manipulation and data cleansing.
• Dashboards and Ad Hoc Analysis: Develop and communicate clear, concise, and actionable data analyses in the form of dashboards or ad hoc reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field or equivalent work experience
• 4 years of related work experience

Skills

• Advanced skill in Python (or similar programming languages) for data analysis and automation.
• Advanced skill in SQL and database query languages for extracting, transforming, and analyzing data from data environments.
• Advanced skill in designing and maintaining ETL processes for large datasets.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools.
• Experience in GIS preferred.
• Familiarity with utility operations.
• Able to analyze and interpret data and effectively communicate findings.
