About the Role
The Returns Coordinator supports the site leader to ensure operational effectiveness of an individual client location under limited supervision. This position ensures KPIs are met through proper planning and scheduling of distribution services. The Returns Coordinator manages inventory returned to the site at the end of motor carrier routes and spends most of their time in the office or warehouse maximizing site performance.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to LEAN six sigma principles throughout the warehouse
- Follow SOPs for product return and truck check-in processes daily
- Ensure accuracy with reason codes for each returned item
- Ensure timely reporting of returns compliance
- Support activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation
- Foster open and positive team communication
- Build strong rapport with Motor Carriers and clients
- Hold Motor Carriers accountable for returned/damaged product and report findings to site leadership
- Communicate daily/shift goals and devise plans to achieve operational goals
- Motivate employees to ensure goal achievement and provide progress updates to management
- Implement corrective measures as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required
- Strong people and operational management skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Teams, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including conflict resolution
- Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with routing, scheduling, and checking delivery status
- Ability to embrace new technology
