Responsibilities

  • Manages the facility quantity discrepancy process, ensuring timely and compliant resolution.
  • Coordinates discrepancy investigations with customers and internal departments.
  • Maintains discrepancy records, receipt maintenance, and manifest validation systems.
  • Monitors discrepancy trends and recommends process improvements to reduce recurring issues.
  • Serves as primary customer contact for quantity discrepancies.
  • Builds positive customer relationships through timely communication and resolution.
  • Provides technical support regarding shipment documentation and discrepancy resolution.
  • Supports Production Planning through operational reporting, inventory tracking, setup planning, and recordkeeping compliance requirements.
  • Ensures records comply with company procedures, permit requirements, and applicable environmental regulations.
  • Assigns billing codes to waste receipts and coordinates with Accounts Receivable for invoicing.
  • Manages bulk weight ticket process with internal departments.
  • Coordinates Ross palletization requirements for incoming shipments.
  • Assists with creation of shipper packets for receiving.
  • Works with Optimization department regarding hold area inventory management.
  • Creates, reviews, and maintains documentation supporting shipment receipt and discrepancy resolution.
  • Maintains electronic and physical document management systems for Production Planning.
  • Supports regulatory inspections and internal audits through accurate documentation.
  • Assists with procedure development and implementation.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, compliance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Participates in Receiving Department on-call rotation.
  • Cross-trains in Receiving, QAQC, Production Planning, and other operational functions.
  • Supports ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management Systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, RCRA, and EPA regulations is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and able to problem solve to meet business objectives.
  • Willing to work additional hours or off-hours as required to meet business objectives.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
