About the role
Contribute to the operational excellence plan by competently meeting client goals while supervising a profitable and efficient cross-dock shift.
Responsibilities
- Control and expedite the daily flow of inbound and outbound freight.
- Oversee the flow of loaded breakdown projects.
- Project the number of loads to be shipped to each club daily.
- Review appointment schedules to ensure all appointments on premises are unloaded within two hours L.O.S.
- Coordinate trailer movements utilizing the Yard Management System.
- Ensure labor coverage matches the daily workload.
- Utilize systems and software for process design and reporting efficiency.
- Organize daily movement of products.
- Ensure customer deadlines are met in receiving and shipping inventories.
- Assign appointments and inbound drops to appropriate doors.
- Assign empty trailers for loading to appropriate Club door.
- Assign inbound trailers to dock doors.
- Supervise loading to ensure maximum cubic feet and weight requirements are met.
- Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices; report noncompliance when observed.
- Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Minimum 2 years of forklift experience.
- Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs.
- 3 years of experience in a warehousing/distribution environment.
- Ability to sit, walk, or stand for long periods of time.
- Follow all PPE standards in the distribution center (e.g., steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, safety vest).
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 2nd Shift.
Pay
$20.50/hour + $1.00 shift premium.
