About the role

The role is that of Director of Operations at a mission-driven technology startup located in San Francisco, CA. This is an onsite position 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve company-wide operational processes and systems.
• Partner with leadership on strategic operational initiatives.
• Collaborate across IT, Legal, Finance, People, and Recruiting.
• Establish and scale operational functions from the ground up.
• Implement tools, workflows, and internal infrastructure.
• Manage vendors, consultants, and external partners.
• Drive cross-functional projects and key business initiatives.
• Improve efficiency and identify operational gaps.
• Create documentation, policies, and operating procedures.
• Serve as a trusted operational partner to leadership.

Requirements

• Experience building operations within a startup or high-growth company.
• Strong cross-functional partnership experience.
• Comfortable creating structure in ambiguous environments.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
• Resourceful, proactive, and highly adaptable.
• Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Excited to wear multiple hats and take ownership.
