About the Role
Dance Faculty Assistants work with CLI Conservatory choreographers, the CLI Conservatory operations team, and the CLI Conservatory Artistic Director, Teddy Forance. You will be curious about how you approach your work and not afraid to act fast and confidently find solutions to challenges. You will be someone who can work collaboratively but also thrives in taking initiative independently. You’ll also embrace the adventure of working at an early-stage startup, ready to wear multiple hats when needed.
CLI Studios is a group of unique, diverse, and creative individuals who deeply believe in the transformative power of the performing arts. We are on a mission to make dance education more accessible to aspirational students worldwide using a mix of technology, innovative thinking, and a mission-driven team. Through our online training program, dancers can take over 1,500 classes from top instructors. For advanced students, we offer the CLI Conservatory, an extensive in-person training program where dancers launch their professional careers with support from over 100 world-renowned choreographers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the operations team on Conservatory creative projects such as media days, student showcase, photoshoots, creative films, auditions, and the end-of-year show.
- Assist the operations team on day-to-day Conservatory initiatives, including general studio operations, reviewing Conservatory and mentorship schedules, and opening/closing studios.
- Work with the wellness team on social events for dancers to ensure a great experience both in and outside the studios.
- Support the CLI Conservatory Intensives team on Fall, Winter, and Summer Intensives as needed.
- Assist with Admitted Students weekends for upcoming Conservatory students.
- Support students in careers initiatives, such as onboarding personal branding assets into the CLI Conservatory Careers database, coordinating alumni training events, and connecting dancers to professional jobs in the industry.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across the organization.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Strong familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- One to three years of experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience within the dance industry (as a former dancer or employee of a dance-related company).

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This role operates in a professional office environment and is largely sedentary, requiring the ability to sit or stand for long periods during meetings and while operating office equipment, PCs, laptops, and telephones.
Pay
The pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.
Schedule
Seasonal, part-time, onsite at CLI during Conservatory in Southampton, MA. Travel may be required for alumni events or recruiting events around the country.
