Operations Assistant

About the role

GigaGen, a subsidiary of Grifols, is seeking an Operations Assistant to support a pre-clinical biotechnology lab specializing in deep sequencing, cell engineering, antibody therapeutics discovery, and a cutting-edge single cell microfluidic platform.

Responsibilities

• Support shipping and receiving activities
• Maintain and clean office appliances
• Unpack and organize incoming packages
• Serve as point of contact for delivery personnel and lab vendors
• Update and maintain operational databases and systems
• Avoid data documentation (scanning/printing)
• Assist with inventory counts and maintenance of office and lab spaces
• Perform daily stocking of office goods and weekly stocking of laboratory supplies
• Auxiliary support for company events with set up and clean up
• Maintain records of equipment documentation
• Auxiliary support for staff in organization activities
• Auxiliary support for furniture and equipment moves
• Auxiliary support for general lab cleaning duties
• Auxiliary support for preparing and aliquoting lab reagents
• Auxiliary support for laboratory specialty gas systems and supply

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 1-2 years of relevant office or laboratory experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Capable of multi-tasking and following standard operating procedures
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

The estimated pay scale for the Operations Assistant role based in California is $22.00 - $29.00 per hour. The position is eligible to participate in up to 5% of the company bonus pool.
