Operations Assistant

About the role

Controls, Service & Engineering Co., Inc. (CSE) is a family-owned and operated company providing high-quality HVAC and plumbing services to industrial, medical, and commercial facilities in Central Pennsylvania. They are seeking an Operations Assistant to support various operations and ensure the smooth running of the business.

Responsibilities

• Entering customer work orders accurately into the software system
• Serving as a point of contact for Accounts Payable, handling data entry, vendor inquiries, invoices, and cash receipts
• Handling shipments and verifying inventory levels
• Maintaining the tool room, tracking tool repairs and calibrations
• Managing vehicle registrations and the E-Z Pass program
• Supervising office supplies and maintaining cleanliness
• Coordinating travel arrangements for technicians
• Supporting employee uniform rental and purchasing programs
• Assisting with other administrative and operational tasks as needed

Qualifications

• A solid work history demonstrating dependability and commitment
• At least 1–2 years of administrative or office experience; service industry experience is a plus
• A strong work ethic and ability to follow through on tasks without needing constant supervision
• An organized approach to managing multiple responsibilities
• A professional demeanor, comfortable communicating verbally and in writing
• Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office
• The ability to move between office tasks and warehouse/receiving duties
• The capacity to meet deadlines and lift up to 35 pounds when necessary
