About the role

The Operations Aide is responsible for transporting clients to and from appointments, interviews, and resources to assist in overcoming the abuse they have experienced.

Schedule

  • 40 hours weekly minimum or as necessary to achieve program objectives, tasks, activities, and responsibilities
  • Typical work schedule (with flexibility to meet client transportation needs):
    • Sunday: Off
    • Monday: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
    • Tuesday: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
    • Wednesday: 2nd & 4th 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
    • Thursday: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
    • Friday: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
    • Saturday: Off
  • Ability to work untraditional hours, evenings, and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Provide transportation assistance for shelter, hotel, and non-residential clients
  • Schedule and maintain a weekly calendar of approved client transportation
  • Complete proper documentation of client transportation and submit logs weekly for service documentation
  • Assist with weekly walk-through of agency vehicles (4 vans) to ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep
  • Assist the Donation Center & Client Closet operations by picking up and dropping off donations from the community for clients
  • Answer the Agency’s crisis intervention via the agency’s 24-hour hotline
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in transportation services
  • Possession of valid, non-suspended Texas Driver’s License
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle report, and reference checks
  • Must have a clean driving record, automobile insurance coverage, and be insurable
  • At least 3 years of verifiable driving experience
  • Ability to lift/carry/move a minimum of 40 lbs. for an extended distance

  • Strong communication skills
  • Planning and organizational skills to effectively manage transportation needs
  • Ability to work with diverse clients and maintain appropriate boundaries

Pay

$37,200 per year ($17.88 per hour)
