About the role

The Reporting Analyst is responsible for creating, validating, and enhancing operational reports used across multiple operations divisions, with an initial focus on Document Production. This role partners closely with operations leaders, subject matter experts, and reporting developers to ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and actionable. In an environment with limited built-in system logic, this role will own the extraction, validation, and transformation of raw data into reliable reporting tools that support daily execution, short-term decision making, and long-term operational improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports to support operational efficiency and quality standards.
  • Analyze performance trends and provide strategic insights and recommendations to the operational reports manager.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, quality, and IT to create workflow diagrams, understand reporting needs, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting platforms.
  • Assist the Manager of Operational Reporting & Analytics with gathering data for projects that will drive performance and quality improvement across operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, tools, and PowerPoint visualizations and presentation.
  • Support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests from all levels of leadership.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization with both technical and non-technical staff members.
  • Advanced ability to research, define, and analyze any type of business processes/problems and bring reporting solutions to leadership to overcome operational issues.
  • Ability to turn complex data into clear, usable insights that drive action.
  • Technical proficiency in SCL, Microsoft Excel (Advanced), Microsoft PowerPoint (Intermediate-Advanced).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing business needs and priorities.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • 1+ years of business analysis experience required.
  • 1+ years’ experience with corporate operations reporting required.
  • Experience within the mortgage industry preferred.

Pay

$43,520 to $54,400 annually.

Working Conditions

This position is based in a traditional office environment. Employees are expected to work on-site during standard business hours and maintain a professional demeanor in a collaborative setting. Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with standard lighting and noise levels. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential to meet business needs and team collaboration. Occasional overtime, weekend shifts, or holiday work may be required based on operational needs. Employees must comply with company policies regarding data security, time tracking, and collaboration tools across all work environments.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to communicate.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and constantly operate a computer and other office equipment using hands and fingers for fine manipulation, including keyboarding and mouse use.
  • Must occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, such as files and small parcels and/or move boxes weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing may be required depending on the nature of the work.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to observe objects at close range in the presence of glare or bright lighting (e.g., computer screen).
