About the role
We are seeking an experienced Operational Readiness Scheduler to support a leading pharmaceutical client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing Operational Readiness schedules while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones and operational deliverables are successfully achieved. This role requires strong expertise in Primavera P6, GMP project scheduling, and pharmaceutical or biotech operations.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and update Operational Readiness schedules using Oracle Primavera P6 and Smartsheet.
- Develop scheduling templates, standards, and SOPs from scratch.
- Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to collect, review, and update scheduling information.
- Perform schedule analysis, including critical path, dependencies, milestones, and key deliverables.
- Generate schedule reports, dashboards, and progress updates for project stakeholders.
- Monitor schedule performance, identify risks, variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q), Tech Transfer, Supply Chain, and Training teams to align Operational Readiness activities.
- Perform scenario planning and "what-if" analyses to evaluate project risks and optimize schedules.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation, schedule traceability, and change history throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure Operational Readiness activities are integrated across all project workstreams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience using Oracle Primavera P6 for schedule development, logic creation, and schedule management.
- Experience supporting Pharmaceutical or Biotech Operations projects within GMP-regulated environments.
- Experience creating project schedules, templates, and SOPs from the ground up.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling methodologies, critical path analysis, and risk management.
- Experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling tools is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q), Operations, Tech Transfer, Quality, and Training processes within Pharma or Biotech environments.
- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
