About the role
NHS Ayrshire and Arran is one of 14 territorial NHS Boards within NHS Scotland. The Ayrshire Urgent Care Service (AUCS) is seeking an Operational Facilitator to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Act as the single point of contact for all incoming telephone enquiries, including calls from District Nursing, Social Work, professional-to-professional clinical teams, and other internal partners.
- Ensure calls are handled efficiently, directed to the correct pathway, and managed in line with service processes and priorities.
- Support the delivery of a timely and effective appointment system and assist with the coordination of home visits.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to provide dependable operational support and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of AUCS.
Requirements
- UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.
Qualifications
- Educated to SVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain accuracy while delivering a high standard of support.
