Operational Excellence SWAT Specialist
About the role
As an Operational Excellence SWAT Specialist at Johnson Matthey, you will help drive the company's goals by identifying and prioritizing high-value improvement opportunities that significantly enhance P&L performance and cash generation. You will lead targeted operational excellence programs from diagnosis through to implementation and results delivery, conducting detailed analysis to uncover root causes and translating insights into clear, actionable improvement plans. You will partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to align on priorities and deliver measurable outcomes, driving disciplined execution of initiatives, ensuring accountability and sustainable performance improvements. You will monitor and validate financial impact in collaboration with Finance to ensure real, trackable value delivery.
Key skills
- Proven experience delivering operational excellence, transformation or consulting initiatives in complex environments
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to link operational actions to P&L and cash outcomes
- Advanced analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities, with experience using data to drive decisions
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional programs and influence senior stakeholders
- Strong programme and project management skills, with a focus on execution and results
- Ability to adapt quickly and operate effectively in high-impact, ambiguous situations
