About the Role
At Mercy Medical Center, the Operating Room RN delivers safe, high-quality care to surgical patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide intraoperative care by performing circulating and/or scrub duties, including patient positioning, site prep, instrumentation, and sterile technique.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient, coordinated care throughout procedures.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts.
- Ideal candidates will have 1 or more years of intraoperative nursing experience, including circulating and scrub experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current BLS/CPR (AHA or Red Cross).
- Familiarity with AORN standards.
Schedule
- Per Diem – Rotating Shifts.
- Shift requirement: 8 shifts per month, including off-shifts and 1 weekend shift per month. If the weekend shift is not needed, the eighth shift will still be required based on unit needs.
- Must work two holidays per year.
- On-call requirement: Must participate in on-call rotation, with a minimum of one time per month.
Pay
Hourly Union position, Per Diem Flat Rate: $63.85.
