Operating Room RN - Per Diem

About the Role

At Mercy Medical Center, the Operating Room RN delivers safe, high-quality care to surgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide intraoperative care by performing circulating and/or scrub duties, including patient positioning, site prep, instrumentation, and sterile technique.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient, coordinated care throughout procedures.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Valid RN license in Massachusetts.
• Ideal candidates will have 1 or more years of intraoperative nursing experience, including circulating and scrub experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current BLS/CPR (AHA or Red Cross).
• Familiarity with AORN standards.

Schedule

• Per Diem – Rotating Shifts.
• Shift requirement: 8 shifts per month, including off-shifts and 1 weekend shift per month. If the weekend shift is not needed, the eighth shift will still be required based on unit needs.
• Must work two holidays per year.
• On-call requirement: Must participate in on-call rotation, with a minimum of one time per month.

Pay

Hourly Union position, Per Diem Flat Rate: $63.85.
