Employment Type:Part timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Position Purpose:At Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center, part of Saint Mary's Hospital, the Operating Room RN delivers safe, high-quality care to surgical patients. What You Will Do:Provide intraoperative care by performing circulating and/or scrub duties, including patient positioning, site prep, instrumentation, and sterile technique.Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient, coordinated care throughout procedures.Minimum Qualifications:Required:Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required.Valid RN license in Connecticut.Ideal candidates must have 1 or more years of intraoperative nursing experience, including circulating and scrub experience.Preferred:Current BLS/CPR (AHA or Red Cross)Familiarity with AORN standardsImportant Consideration ***This position is open to experienced RN candidates seeking training through the AORN Periop 101 program. Comprehensive onboarding and education will be provided to support a successful transition into the intraoperative nursing environment. Position Highlights:Part-Time: 24 hrs/week – Day ShiftAll shifts are Monday through FridayNo weekend, holiday, or on-call requirementsCompensation and BenefitsHourly Staff RN position; pay range: $37.25 – $61.75/hourPay is based on working RN experience only. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
