Operating Room Registered Nurse - Weekends
About the Role
Accepting applications for experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses (OR RNs) seeking opportunity to work weekends. The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care delivery in the surgical area. The professional nurse assumes responsibility for that charge and is accountable for providing a safe environment for the delivery of care to all surgical patients.
Practice is guided by nursing process and policy/procedure/standards. Maintains focused area of expertise for care/program and/or provides interventions or knowledge within niche areas of care/program. Advances professional/shared governance, collaborates inter- and intra-professionally, delegates to others to advance care, assumes an expanded role and increased responsibility. May lead a small team and serve as a unit/service/program nursing practice mentor and identify learning needs of others.
Responsibilities
- Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in the surgical area
- Maintain expertise in surgical care and interventions
- Collaborate inter- and intra-professionally to advance patient care
- Delegate tasks and assume expanded responsibilities as needed
- Mentor nursing staff and identify learning needs
- Ensure a safe environment for surgical patients
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Valid RN licensure authorized by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing or Compact State
- Valid driver’s license where required by assignment
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing
- Operating Room experience
