About the Role
Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images, including routine, portable, operating room, and fluoroscopic procedures. Position patients, adjust equipment, and explain procedures to ensure high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure. Assist in training staff and students, participate in quality assurance activities, and maintain safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate radiology equipment to produce diagnostic images
- Position patients and adjust equipment for optimal imaging
- Explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Minimize radiation exposure while maintaining image quality
- Assist in training staff and students
- Participate in quality assurance and safety activities
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team
- Provide patient education and document procedures accurately in the Radiology Information System
- Set up and troubleshoot equipment
- Ensure proper room preparation and adhere to safety standards, including radiation protection and PPE use
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of one year of experience

- Physical ability to perform lifting, standing, walking, and operating equipment

- Equipment troubleshooting skills
