About the role

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Full-time OR Posting Clerk in Same Day Surgery. The position offers First (Days) shift work.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative support and coordination for scheduling, registering, medical records, billing and clerical functions.
• Chart Prep - gathering paperwork for surgeries utilizing your Medical Terminology and EPIC experience, as well as office and computer skills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• One year of related experience (Required)
• EPIC Experience (Strongly Preferred)
• Surgical Chat Prep Experience (Strongly Preferred)
• Medical Terminology Experience (Strongly Preferred)
• Medical Office Experience, great phone etiquette, computer skills, and experience working with Word and Excel (Strongly Preferred)

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
• Heartsaver CPR/AED Certification - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (Preferred)
