Operating Room Nurse - Experienced

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse with 2+ years of perioperative care expertise to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The role involves assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs according to established nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families about procedures and support resources, acting as liaison between physicians and patients.
• Demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing and/or circulating for various surgical specialties across multiple Pods.
• Prepare and assist with surgeries, ensuring safety, proper instrument setup, and adherence to sterile techniques.
• Monitor patients during procedures to prevent complications, manage emergencies, and preserve specimen integrity.
• Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and support ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• RN license with 2-5 years of experience in perioperative nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, CNOR certification, Periop 101, and mastery in OR practices.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills are essential.
