Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse

About the role

Davenport Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures in multiple specialties including ophthalmology, cosmetic surgery, general surgery, reconstructive surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, gynecology, urology, otolaryngology/ENT, pain management, and others.
• Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient surgical operations.
• Manage the operative patient's care from pre-operative assessment through post-operative recovery.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain accurate medical records.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education related to surgical nursing practices.

Requirements

• Current Florida Nursing License.
• Current CPR/BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Strong operating room nurse experience required.
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Accountability, professionalism, openness, receptivity to change, creativity, and innovation.
• Quick adaptation to changes and strong knowledge base regarding surgical procedures.
• Excellent standing with the Florida Board of Nursing.
• Willingness to perform necessary downtime work.
• Willingness to learn new tasks.
