Operating Partner/ General Manager

Mama's Comfort Food & Cocktails is seeking an Operating Partner / General Manager to oversee daily operations, drive performance, and lead the team in Los Alamitos, CA.

About the role

The Operating Partner will manage the restaurant's daily operations and share responsibility for achieving customer satisfaction, profit, sales, and employee performance goals. You will oversee managers and team members, provide coaching and support, and motivate the team to meet and exceed company expectations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily restaurant operations
• Hire, train, and develop hourly employees
• Increase sales and build community rapport
• Demonstrate outstanding leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Motivate and lead the team as a hands-on player-coach
• Assist with any job on the floor, including bussing, cleaning, and serving, to ensure guest satisfaction

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of current experience as a Restaurant Manager / General Manager in a full-service restaurant
• Hands-on experience with hiring, training, and developing hourly employees
• Proven ability to drive sales and build community relationships
• Excellent work ethic, leadership, and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work weekends and holidays
• Willingness to assist with any task on the floor to support the team and guests

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Valid Driver's License (required)
• Managers Food Safety Certificate (required)
• Availability for day and night shifts, including 10-hour shifts
