Requirements

Shift Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience. They provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain great Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Shift Managers perform various tasks such as planning for each shift, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with McDonald’s standards, managing safety and security, communicating with the next Shift Manager, and meeting targets. They may also assist in meeting departmental goals.

Responsibilities

Shift Managers are responsible for Food Safety, Internal Communication, Inventory Management, Daily Maintenance and Cleanliness, Managing Crew, Quality Food Production, Exceptional Customer Service, Safety and Security, Scheduling, and Training.

• Ensuring food safety

Qualifications

A Shift Manager should have previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Positive team players with a flexible schedule and the passion to work in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment are also required. Applicants must be 18 years or older to apply for this position.

Skills

Leadership, communication, time management, and multitasking are key skills for a Shift Manager. Additionally, familiarity with McDonald’s standards and procedures is important.

Schedule

Shifts are typically 8 hours long and occur throughout the day, including evenings and weekends. The schedule is flexible and allows for a mix of on-site and remote work.
