Open Rank Tenure Track Faculty Position, College of Nursing and Health Sciences

About the role

Tenure-Track faculty are responsible for actively pursuing and participating in activities related to teaching, scholarly activity, service, and institution-building. The Nursing program offers prelicensure and postlicensure nursing degrees including a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) with specialties in Family Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care-Adult Gerontology, Psychiatric-Mental Health, Midwifery, and Women’s Health.

Responsibilities

• Teaching in BSN and DNP academic degree programs
• Engaging in scholarly activity and research with peer-reviewed publications
• Contributing to service and institution-building within the Nursing program and university
• Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and inclusion

Requirements

• An earned research, practice, or education doctorate from an accredited program (degree must be awarded by August 1, 2026 for appointment to this track)
• Evidence of a beginning or sustained program of research with peer-reviewed publications
• For Nurse Applicants: RN licensure in Washington State; Advanced Practice applicants must hold ARNP licensure in Washington state by start date
• A record of teaching excellence
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills

Qualifications

• Experience as an Adult/Gerontological Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care or Primary Care) or Clinical Nurse Specialist
• Experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner
• Experience as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
• Expertise in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Mental Health, Pediatrics, Pathophysiology, and Pharmacology

Benefits

Salary Range: $92,000–$94,000
