About the role

The Department of Biological & Biomedical Sciences at Rowan University is seeking to hire a non-tenure track Teaching Professor who will serve as Director of the Medical Laboratory Science programming.

Responsibilities

• Lead programmatic NAACLS accreditation application
• Teach select courses
• Advise and recruit MLS students
• Establish an undergraduate Medical Laboratory Science program as well as community college partnerships
• Partner with the departmental leadership to ensure appropriate staffing of program courses
• Teach and administer according to areas of expertise
• Participate in professional development to stay current in the field

Requirements

• Hold ASCP Certification
• Possess familiarity with NAACLS Accreditation
• Have both clinical and academic experience
• Be passionate about teaching and mentoring students

Qualifications

• Hold a terminal degree (or its professional equivalent)

Skills

• Ability to lead and manage programmatic accreditation
• Strong teaching and mentoring skills
• Experience in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) programs
• Ability to collaborate across departments

Pay

SALARY
In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is:
Associate Teaching Professor: Ranges 28, 30
Assistant Teaching Professor: Ranges 24, 27 with placement within the range determined by candidate's qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors.
