About the role
The Department of Biological & Biomedical Sciences at Rowan University is seeking to hire a non-tenure track Teaching Professor who will serve as Director of the Medical Laboratory Science programming.
Responsibilities
- Lead programmatic NAACLS accreditation application
- Teach select courses
- Advise and recruit MLS students
- Establish an undergraduate Medical Laboratory Science program as well as community college partnerships
- Partner with the departmental leadership to ensure appropriate staffing of program courses
- Teach and administer according to areas of expertise
- Participate in professional development to stay current in the field
Requirements
- Hold ASCP Certification
- Possess familiarity with NAACLS Accreditation
- Have both clinical and academic experience
- Be passionate about teaching and mentoring students
Qualifications
- Hold a terminal degree (or its professional equivalent)
Skills
- Ability to lead and manage programmatic accreditation
- Strong teaching and mentoring skills
- Experience in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) programs
- Ability to collaborate across departments

Pay
SALARY
In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is:
Associate Teaching Professor: Ranges 28, 30
Assistant Teaching Professor: Ranges 24, 27 with placement within the range determined by candidate's qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors.
