Open Rank Professor - Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include clinical care, including supervision of medical students, residents and fellows. The successful applicant will also help to provide interdisciplinary training, community engagement, and scholarly activities (e.g., clinical, translational, quality, or community research).
The division leads and participates in the care and treatment of specialized populations with unique needs, such as children with complex movement disorders, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, brain injury and neurotrauma, spinal cord injury, amputations and congenital limb deficiencies, any other diagnosis affecting daily function.
Procedural capabilities include botulinum toxin and phenol injections, intrathecal baclofen pump management, ultrasound-guided injections, spasticity assessment and tone management, gait and motion analysis.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION: MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
- EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years post-fellowship experience with progressive leadership responsibilities. Distinguished record of clinical excellence, scholarly achievement, and administrative success. Demonstrated success in leading collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
- LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: Board-eligible/board-certified in Pediatric Rehabilitation & Physical Medicine. Must be able to obtain a State of Tennessee medical license.
