Open Rank Faculty (Research)
The University of South Florida seeks multiple faculty positions in the Center for Molecular Psychiatry within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences, in conjunction with the Neurosciences Institute. Candidates must have an M.D. or Ph.D. in neuroscience, psychiatry, psychology, or related fields, a strong research portfolio, and a demonstrated ability to secure external funding.
About the role
Candidates will develop and maintain a nationally competitive research program, publish regularly, and collaborate with other faculty. They will also engage in teaching and mentoring medical or graduate students or post-doctoral fellows, and participate in service functions at the university and national levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a nationally competitive research program with continued extramural funding.
- Peer-reviewed publications.
- Collaboration with other faculty.
- Participate in didactic teaching and mentoring medical or graduate students or post-doctoral fellows.
- Participate in service functions of the institute, department, or university and at the national level.
- Teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities.
- Academic advising and related activities.
- Represent the university, college/school, or department.
Qualifications
- Completion of a doctoral degree in a related field.
- Ability to meet University criteria for appointment at rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor Rank.
