About the role
The Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Mayo Clinic is seeking an exceptional principal investigator in the field of Head and Neck Cancer Diseases.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head and Neck Disease Group (DG) multi-disciplinary team to bring cutting-edge discoveries to patients through advanced clinical trials.
- Provide insight and internal know-how to advance the science of head and neck cancer at Mayo Clinic.
- Mentor junior faculty members to promote their development and grant writing.
Qualifications
- MD and/or PhD credentials.
- Demonstrated evidence of an independent research program.
- Strong track record of publication.
- Extramural funding consistent with or preferably exceeding the candidate’s career stage is expected.
- National recognition/experience in the field.

Pay
The minimum starting salary for Research specialties may range from $114,000 to $272,000. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
