Position Description
The Department of Computer Science in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a tenure-track/tenured assistant, associate, or full professor position starting July 1, 2027. This faculty search targets applicants with a research expertise in Computer Systems, focusing on but not limited to Operating Systems, Databases, Compilers, Computer Architecture, Storage, and Distributed Systems.

The Department of Computer Science has 56 faculty members including an NAE Member and numerous ACM Fellows, IEEE Fellows, AAAS Fellows, AAAI Fellows, IFIP Fellows, and Academia Europea Members. UC Irvine's Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences is home to the departments of Computer Science, Informatics, and Statistics. With over 100 faculty members, the School is the largest computing program within the UC system and one of the largest in the nation, providing exceptional opportunities for discovery and learning. Qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Computer Science or a closely-related field completed by the date of appointment

Pay
The salary range for this position is $111,400-$241,400. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. "Off-scale salaries" and other components of pay, i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.
