  • Job Summary

    The Department of Pediatrics, Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is seeking candidates for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.

  • Responsibilities

    • Teaching - 10%

      • Mentorship, clinical supervision, and consultation to residents/medical students/staff at MCG, CHOG, and developing educational experiences for trainees.
      • Providing training to residents/medical students/staff in pediatric infectious diseases through didactics.
    • Clinical - 90%

      • Providing clinical care for the pediatric patient population in outpatient, inpatient, and telemedicine settings.
      • Diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of disorders, including HIV and other infectious diseases processes, consultations from inpatient/outpatient settings, and patient/family education.
      • Sharing weekday, weekend, and holiday emergent/after-hours call coverage.
  • Required Qualifications

    • Medical degree from an accredited medical school/university, Board Certified in Pediatrics, and Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.

    • State of Georgia medical license, federal DEA and PALS certified.

    • Assistant Professor - Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate post graduate training.

    • Associate Professor - Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.

    • Professor - Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.

  • Shift/Salary/Benefits

    • This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. Full-time equivalent (FTE) is 1.0.

    • Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
