Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform patient care on a full-time basis, no less than forty hours per week, to treat patients at the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System, and to a medically underserved and diverse patient population.
• Conduct six half-day adult sleep medicine clinics and interpret sleep studies generated by the clinics.
• Assist the Department to teach, train, and advise medical students, residents, and fellows in the fields of Internal Medicine, Sleep Medicine, and Pulmonary & Critical Care.
• Conduct medical science or medical education research, with mentorship, in the fields of Internal Medicine, Sleep Medicine, or Pulmonary & Critical Care.
• Assist with curriculum development and perform university duties and administrative services as assigned.

Requirements

• A medical degree or its foreign equivalent.
• Three years of Internal Medicine residency training and one year of Sleep fellowship training, completed in the United States.
• Pulmonary & Critical Care fellowship training is preferred but not required.
• A valid Illinois medical license or eligibility for an Illinois medical license.
