About the role
The Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a tenure-eligible Open Rank (Assistant, Associate, Professor) to join a team of experienced Gastroenterology physicians at the University Medical Center. The incumbent will have a commitment to clinical care and scholarly activity.
Responsibilities
- Manage patients in clinic
- Perform routine endoscopic procedures
- Attend on the inpatient GI service
- Participate in ongoing clinical research
- Assist with teaching of fellows and residents
Qualifications
Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and must be board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the appointment start date. Rank and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications.
The University will perform background checks and a health/drug screen on all new hires prior to employment.
