OPEN RANK: Digital Accessibility and Accommodations Specialist OR Senior Specialist
About the role
The University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy (UMSOP) seeks a Digital Accessibility and Accommodations Specialist (IT Instructional Technology Specialist) OR a Senior Digital Accessibility and Accommodations Specialist (Senior IT Instructional Technology Specialist) within the Dean’s Administration Office of Faculty and Academic Affairs.
Responsibilities
- Assists faculty and students in the use of technology in learning applications and equipment using a wide variety of available technologies, such as digital images/audio, PowerPoint and other PC presentation software, enterprise learning applications, and distance learning (DL) technologies such as satellite television, and IP audio and video over the internet.
- Provides daily support and advice to faculty, staff, and students in effectively using instructional technology applications and/or equipment.
- Conduct formal presentations in the use of specific technology materials.
- Maintains documentation of accessibility and accommodation compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in field and/or related field, such as Graphic or Instructional Design. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: Two (2) years related experience which includes proficiency with audio/visual, multimedia, video production, or IT resources.
Qualifications

- Experience: Three (3) years related experience which includes proficiency with audio/visual, multimedia, video production, or IT resources.

- Thorough knowledge of position requirements.

- Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently.

Pay
Hiring Range $65,500.00 - $76,000 per year for Digital Accessibility and Accommodations Specialist (IT Instructional Technology Specialist) $83,500 - $95,000 per year for Senior Digital Accessibility and Accommodations Specialist (Senior IT Instructional Technology Specialist) Commensurate with education and experience.
