Open Rank Dentistry Faculty-Part Time, DCG-General Dentistry (Conyers, GA)
About the role
The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University is seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor in General Dentistry.
Responsibilities
Teaching - 95% Perform general dental care to qualified Mercy Heart Clinic, MHC, Conyers GA, patients as a direct provider and support the experiential learning of pre-doctoral students and/or dental residents that rotate through the facility by supervising the oral healthcare they provide to MHC patients.
Develop, administer and provide informal/formal student performance assessment.
Support DCG program didactics and clinical protocols.
Service - 5% Participate in Department, DCG, and AU committees and complete required Annual Compliance Training.
Requirements
US DDS, DMD or foreign equivalent.
Unrestricted Georgia dental license or eligibility for such licensure.
At least five years experience practicing comprehensive General Dentistry.
Qualifications
Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation;
Evidence of ability as a teacher;
Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned;
Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements);
Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous teaching experience and familiarity with electronic dental records;
Significant clinical experience, post-graduate training in general dentistry or prior experience in dental education and working knowledge of practice management.

Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements.
Advancement through the faculty ranks at Augusta University is only through the annual Promotion and Tenure process in which faculty may apply if eligible (typically five-year increments).
