Open Rank – Assistant to Associate Professor

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical work seeing patients daily and covering the infusion center on a rotating basis during clinic days;
  • Working with Oncology APPs (NPs or PAs) in clinic;
  • 1:6 call coverage for community practice patients and Highlands Ranch Hospital;
  • Work w/Service Line Director to expand the cancer practice;
  • Attend Multi-Departmental Clinics & CME conferences regularly;
  • Attend oncology service line meetings;
  • clinical trial meetings;
  • Assist with investigator-initiated, cooperative group/industry trials;
  • Lead and participate in clinical quality improvement projects including management of critical pathway & case management across the continuum of care;
  • Team member providing healthcare, interacting w/professional colleagues in a multidisciplinary fashion to provide comprehensive care as a responsible professional;
  • Attend via conference call monthly Clinical Affairs meetings, weekly tumor boards, present Fellows Conference 1/year, assist with Fellows interviews, work with Administrator on clinical data & other duties as assigned by Medical Director at Highlands Ranch and/or Division Head;
  • Maintain accurate, legible, & confidential records using the UCH EPIC system.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
  • Licensed MD or DO from accredited Institution
  • Board certified in Oncology or Hematology
  • 4-8+ years’ experience in Community setting in Medical Oncology
  • Preferred Qualifications: 1 or more years’ experience in Community setting in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
