The primary function of the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department is to provide educational programs leading to BS, MS and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering. The department’s vision is to be a global leader in chemical and biomolecular engineering education and research. Responsibilities
- Develop an externally funded research program of international reputation, including collaborative and interdisciplinary research.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemical engineering, including topics in AI and machine learning.
- Perform departmental service, including committee work, and engage in broader initiatives that support the education and research missions of the institution.
- Contribute to the broader engineering community through professional service.
- The department particularly encourages applications in the areas of energy or soft materials, with emphasis on integration of autonomous laboratories, AI, or machine learning in these fields
