About the role

Hereon and Helmholtz Imaging are seeking a postdoctoral researcher in machine learning to advance the understanding of processing-structure-property-relationships of polymer membranes. The project, COMPUTING, focuses on uncovering correlations between parameters and structures in large experimental datasets using machine-learning-based data evaluation methods for microscopic images and fabrication parameters. The role involves developing novel machine learning architectures and modifying published methods. This is a collaborative effort with the Institute of Material Systems Modelling at Hereon and the Helmholtz Imaging Support Unit at DKFZ.

The position is initially limited to 15 months due to project funding, with a high chance for extension. The place of work is the Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon in Geesthacht, with options for part-time home office.
