About the role

We are seeking a young researcher with a background in computational and/or biological sciences to join our lab in the summer of 2023. This multi-faceted project, in collaboration with the lab of Fabrizio Pizzagalli at the Department of Neurosciences of the University of Torino, Turin, Italy, aims to integrate genomics, transcriptomics, and brain imaging data to predict behavioral traits and disease outcome/progression. The work will involve analyzing large datasets (e.g., UK Biobank, ABCD study) using statistical and machine learning methods.

The day-to-day activity will focus on implementing and running command line tools to build reproducible and robust computational pipelines.

Requirements

• Basic experience in applying data mining, machine learning, or deep learning methods to large datasets, particularly in data integration techniques.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R coding.
• Rudimentary expertise with the Linux command line.
• Experience in genetics and omics data is a significant plus.

A young post-doc or post-lauream researcher is preferred (a recent PhD is a plus but not required).

Pay

Net monthly salary: approximately 1,700 Euros.

Schedule

Contract duration: 1 year with a 1-year extension (already funded).
