Medicaton Technician - Assisted Living

Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure medication administration complies with all relevant regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all medications, treatment plans, and related activities.
- Respond to audits or inspections by regulatory agencies, ensuring full compliance with safety and medication handling procedures.
Qualifications
- Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Current Certified Arizona Caregiver Certification.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Caregiver / Medication Technician, preferably in an assisted living or long-term care environment.
- Experience with medication administration, resident care, documentation, and regulatory compliance in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of Arizona’s assisted living regulations and best practices for medication management and care.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- This position involves working in a residential assisted living facility, with regular interaction with residents and staff.
- Physical tasks may include bending, lifting, and assisting residents with mobility as needed.
- The position may require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday shifts to ensure the facility is properly staffed and residents’ medication needs are met.
