Medicaton Technician - Assisted Living

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure medication administration complies with all relevant regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all medications, treatment plans, and related activities.
• Respond to audits or inspections by regulatory agencies, ensuring full compliance with safety and medication handling procedures.

Qualifications

• Education and Certification:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Current Certified Arizona Caregiver Certification.

• Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Caregiver / Medication Technician, preferably in an assisted living or long-term care environment.
• Experience with medication administration, resident care, documentation, and regulatory compliance in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of Arizona’s assisted living regulations and best practices for medication management and care.

• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• This position involves working in a residential assisted living facility, with regular interaction with residents and staff.
• Physical tasks may include bending, lifting, and assisting residents with mobility as needed.
• The position may require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday shifts to ensure the facility is properly staffed and residents’ medication needs are met.
