Onsite Wellness Coach

About the role
The Onsite Wellness Coach will manage and coordinate all aspects of the Allan Myers wellness program, delivering services at multiple job sites throughout Virginia. This role requires adaptability to unique environments, including active construction sites where proper safety gear is mandatory. Daily travel within the designated territory is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide employees with general and program-specific health education
- Attend, support, and promote biometric screenings
- Review and interpret employees’ medical history
- Outline behavior and lifestyle plans for employees and hold them accountable
- Assist employees in understanding their health conditions
- Support mental wellness by connecting employees with available resources and benefits
- Deliver onsite blood pressure readings and conduct body composition scans
- Coach employees on weight management and tobacco cessation
- Assess and strengthen employees’ awareness of all wellness offerings (mental wellness, telemedicine, EAP, etc.)
- Educate employees on new developments and technology related to the wellness program
- Support monthly targeted health topics through onsite coaching
- Conduct outreach to high-risk populations
- Record data and update notes in the coaching platform after each session
- Create daily reports of onsite activity for each job site visit
- Collaborate and coordinate with all job sites and team members
- Attend early morning huddles and occasional night jobs as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related health and wellness field
- Wellness coaching certification or 2–3 years of relevant job experience
- Strong communication skills with the ability to empathize and motivate employees
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques
- Account management skills and excellent organizational abilities
- Strong note-taking skills
- Ability to handle stress and work under pressure in various construction job site environments
- Collaborative team player with flexibility and time management skills
- Autonomous and self-directed in managing responsibilities
Pay
$60,000 – $65,000, based on experience.
