Technology Specialists support the day-to-day operations of PCs, servers, and networking equipment for the office location. You will coordinate small to medium IT projects and contribute to larger initiatives, serving as the primary IT contact for site personnel, including executives and their assistants. The role involves establishing key stakeholder relationships with Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) and the business, depending on project scope.

Responsibilities

  • Supports operational maintenance of the local data center and site IT infrastructure, evaluating feature and functionality changes.
  • Provides operational support for office-related computer systems and installed applications, resolving minor infrastructure problems and escalating higher-impact issues.
  • Leads the planning and execution of office infrastructure implementation projects.
  • Performs site IT administration support, including new employee IT onboarding and training.
  • Procures IT infrastructure components following Kimberly-Clark’s established procurement process.
  • Installs and supports network equipment with assistance from the Network Operations team (Network Support).
  • Handles site-specific help desk problems requiring on-site/desk visits (PC Support).
  • Performs imaging on new PCs, including software installation (PC Deployment).
  • Installs and maintains Unified Communications (UC) video and network equipment with assistance from the UC Operations team.
  • Plans and performs server maintenance, break/fix, and roadmap activities with assistance from the Server team as needed.
  • Manages the multi-function device and printer fleet, including procurement and basic support, escalating issues to the printer vendor.
  • Documents and coordinates IT hardware surplus equipment processes for inventory purposes.
  • Manages and coordinates local infrastructure vendors working on-site.
  • Educates office users on Kimberly-Clark’s available technologies and their proper use, including managing communication plans for new technology implementations.
  • Seeks out and relays future technology recommendations to management and other ITS team members, while coordinating recommendations from the team.
  • Maintains the site’s ITS Business Continuity Plan and a 1–3 year ITS plan.
  • Ensures LAN and related computer systems comply with established control procedures.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to quality performance through a customer-based philosophy in service delivery.
  • Applies an analytical and systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Facilitates collaboration between stakeholders with shared objectives.
  • Rapidly absorbs new technical information and applies it effectively.

Requirements

  • College associate degree and 3+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated skills, or 7+ years of applied experience with the following:
    • Troubleshooting and solving basic computer issues.
    • Familiarity with Windows 7/10/11, Windows 2019 Server, Cisco Networking, LAN/Wireless networks, firewalls, Microsoft Office products, Zoom, Teams, SharePoint, smartphones, and tablets (iOS, Android).
    • Ticketing system management for incident and request tracking (e.g., ServiceNow).
    • Ability to work onsite in person—requires flexibility to be onsite 5 days a week.
  • Carry out all work safely and adhere to plant security policies.
  • Complete assigned tasks in a timely, diligent, and professional manner.
  • Establish proactive, confidence-inspiring relationships with clients and support teams to ensure work meets business goals.
  • Contribute to an inclusive environment where all team members are respected and motivated to improve individual and team performance.
  • Communicate technical concepts to local management and staff in non-technical terms.
  • Adhere to Kimberly-Clark standards and procedures.
  • Ability to work outside of business hours when required and be on-call for critical incidents.
  • Occasional travel (5%) may be required for training or project purposes.

Pay

The anticipated base pay range for this role is $79,880 – $94,440 USD (for U.S. locations only). Actual pay will depend on factors such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. This position is also eligible for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite.

Schedule

This is a full-time role requiring onsite presence 5 days a week, with flexibility for occasional work outside of business hours and on-call support for critical incidents.
