Onsite Service Engineer - Quebec City, Canada

About the role

This position is responsible for providing full-time on-site technical support for a JBT AGV System located in Quebec City, Canada. This support will include AGV and AGV System troubleshooting and repair, preventive maintenance of the AGV fleet and resolving issues with AGV hardware and overall system functionality.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle and vehicle/system related issues
• Absorb upgrades/retrofits requiring vehicle modifications
• Assist with AGV component repairs when/if necessary
• Maintain on-site parts inventory and parts orders
• Provide AGV systems operations support for new / modified systems and start-ups
• Work closely with the full-time On-site Senior Technician to assist in troubleshooting and resolving AGV system issues
• Collaborate with Customer AGV Leads for training, troubleshooting, and meetings as needed
• Provide on call support for critical business impacting outages

Requirements

• Must be bi-lingual and fluent in both English and French
• Must have a strong understanding of JBT Automated Systems' latest designs, features, and equipment

Qualifications

• Technical background in AGV systems or similar field
• Experience with AGV troubleshooting and repair
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software
• Knowledge of AGV hardware and software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
