Benefits: Under the direction of a health care provider, responsible for providing direct care to employees and other personnel who become ill and/or are injured on company property at designated client site. Perform nursing assessments and assist provider with employment and surveillance examinations. Educate employees on health/wellness/safety related topics through individual discussions or group training. Communicate effectively with other peers for continuity of care; patients for injury care instruction; and others in personnel and safety with a need to know. Follows company policies and practices established by both the client as well as UnityPoint.
Responsibilities
- Examine and sees acutely ill employees and determine urgency of care
- Refer cases to company physician or personal physician where appropriate
- Document patient information accurately and timely
- Maintain confidentiality of employee medical records on computer and written as needed also ensuring confidentiality within the clinic
- Implement company surveillance and safety programs where appropriate
- Be able to function in single nurse staffed clinic
- Communicate appropriately with members of the medical team and other stakeholders at the site
- Actively engage in process improvement initiatives at the onsite clinic, collaborating with both UnityPoint and the client to streamline workflows and partner with safety initiatives
- Act as a consultant both within the organization and to outside agencies or groups
- Stay up to date on client protocols and UPHaW processes ensuring adherence to both escalating any concerns or needs to leadership to address
- Function as a clinician, educator, and resource for employees and client contacts and assist providers with office procedures
- Conduct pulmonary function testing, drug testing, vision testing, hearing testing, immunization delivery, medication administration, spirometry testing, lab specimen preparation, blood draws, or other patient specific clinical needs that align with client site offerings and workflows
- Properly use office and medical equipment such as: computer, spirometer, audiometer, fax machine, multi-stage copiers and telephones
- Assist in case management initiation and follow-up
- Complete appropriate forms or requisitions needed
- Responsible for tracking system for follow-up appointments related to office visits, laboratory tests and procedures to regularly follow patients monitoring disease status and injury

Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of accredited nursing program for Registered Nurses
- Experience: 3 years of Clinical Experience
- Licenses/Certifications: Current license to practice nursing in Iowa, Illinois, or whichever state performing RN functions in
