Onsite Logistics Specialist I - Construction

About the role

As the Onsite Logistics Specialist within our field Logistics department, you will oversee all operations for an assigned site or area and provide tooling and material support to field personnel. This highly collaborative role shares information internally to optimize efficiency and effectiveness while delivering extraordinary service.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively and appropriately with customers.
• Maintain tool inventory and process tool and material returns.
• Coordinate tool repair and replacement of tools with jobs.
• Serve as the contact for issues/concerns on jobsite (area) deliveries.
• Lead a team of 1-2 team members in an area of the operation.
• Make appropriate decisions on shipping/scheduling of tools/assemblies and materials to jobsite.
• Schedule tool and material deliveries and pick-ups.
• Gain and maintain forklift certification.
• Drive company vehicles as qualified and required.
• Shelf/pick, log, and maintain materials as necessary.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
• Use standard equipment to move materials (carts, dollies, forklift, pallet jack, etc.).
• Understand and maintain 5S principles on jobsite.
• Assist with ordering of supplies and PPE.
• Work as a member of a cohesive team and assist logistics team members as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 3-5 years of logistics experience.
• ASCM Warehouse Certificate (preferred).
• Travel: 0-75%.

Schedule

This position works between the hours of 6 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Hours may vary based on customer demands and can include nights, weekends, and holidays.
