About the Role
In this role, you will report to the Onsite Supervisor and work closely with Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Location and Schedule
Location: Cambridge, MA
Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Overtime: Occasional and voluntary
Pay
Hourly Rate: $24.00 - $26.00

Qualifications
- High school diploma required; science-related degree preferred
- Experience in inventory management, stock control, warehouse operations, and material handling
- Laboratory support experience with knowledge of inventory systems, barcode scanning, and handheld devices
- Ability to perform cycle counts, audits, inventory reconciliations, and Point-of-Use (POU) inventory management
- Experience handling chemicals, reagents, hazardous materials, and biohazard waste in a regulated environment
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment, including autoclaves, preferred
- Proficiency with inventory management software, Microsoft Office, and computer-based systems
- Understanding of SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Strong organizational, time management, and record-keeping skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Effective communication and customer service skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Flexible and adaptable in supporting multiple laboratory and operational functions
- Ability to lift, transport, and move laboratory and warehouse materials as needed
Responsibilities
- Manage laboratory and warehouse inventory through barcode scanning, replenishment, cycle counts, audits, and inventory tracking systems
- Monitor and maintain Point-of-Use (POU) locations, resolve stock shortages, and distribute supplies, reagents, and materials across assigned laboratory spaces
- Collect, process, sterilize, and redistribute laboratory glassware and supplies while operating equipment such as autoclaves and glassware washers
- Support daily laboratory operations by managing lab coats, scrubs, reagents, chemicals, and other critical materials
- Safely handle hazardous materials, chemical reagents, and biohazard waste in compliance with safety regulations and SOPs
- Maintain accurate records, inventory documentation, and operational reports using computer and inventory management systems
- Participate in safety, compliance, and training programs while assisting with SOP updates
- Cross-train and provide backup support across multiple laboratory and warehouse functions to ensure uninterrupted operations
