About the role

We are seeking an Onsite Lab Support Clerk to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This position, a Hospital Reference Test Clerk, will perform clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of our client offices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Communicate effectively with client office staff
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve customer and specimen problems
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated
• Perform spinning, freezing, splitting, and other special services as needed based on client requirements

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent
• 2 years or more experience in laboratory, accessioning, data entry, or manufacturing
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years or more of medical or patient-facing healthcare experience

Pay

$17.75 - $25.49 per hour. Eligible for 2nd shift differential.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
