Job Description

  • Responsible for the coordination of technical and administrative support activities at assigned customer location according to the on-site services support contract or as part of key account support.
  • Responsible for execution of efforts on resolving technical and operational issues, including data collection, reactor data analysis, root cause analysis, generating corrective action and preventive plans, and providing updates to customers daily or agreed upon periodic updates.
  • Acting first line level of contact for the customer and driving AIXTRON support required according to the AIXTRON escalation plan.
  • Supports the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of the equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction while representing the interests of the company.
  • Performs troubleshooting, warranty/service repairs, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, system monitoring, upgrades, and system installation as needed of AIXTRON reactors at customer's site according to the on-site service contract or as part of key account management.
  • Acts as a company liaison: provides status reports, responds to requests for additional information, addresses customer concerns, advises customers of schedule changes, updates on required parts availability, and assists in parts identification.
  • Collaborates with local support from local tech support and acts as the main contact person for account manager for status updates.
  • Provides accurate documentation on all system problems and actions taken.
  • Maintains regular meetings with customers to address problems/issues.
  • Maintains all reports on customer issues, tools status and quality, and escalates to AIXTRON support.
  • Trains less experienced employees and customer representatives on equipment operations and maintenance.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • At least 3-4 years of experience in R&D and/or production environment within the semiconductor industry.
  • Direct experience with compound semiconductor & MOCVD operations, maintenance, & hardware engineering is a plus.
  • Adept in mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, hand tools, multimeter, Helium leak checker, and high purity gas supply systems.
  • A Technical associate’s degree (AS) in engineering or equivalent experience and knowledge. BS degree is a plus.
  • A high level of written and oral communication skills is required.
  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally for training & other company events.
