About the Role
The Onsite EAP Counselor provides behavioral health support for ComPsych’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with employees located in Auburn Hills, MI. This role involves a combination of individual short-term counseling, leadership consultations, training, and promotional activities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person or telehealth short-term one-on-one counseling for employees.
- Perform in-person and telephonic risk assessments for employees in crisis.
- Provide critical incident debriefings, if indicated.
- Address inquiries about program benefits and connect employees with resources.
- Participate in mental health-promoting activities, including training, lunch-and-learns, and health fair events.
- Deliver leadership consultations and support for behavioral health issues in the workplace.
- Provide strategy support on program service delivery satisfaction.
- May offer Computerized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CCBT) and coaching.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a mental health discipline or doctorate in psychology.
- Highest independent clinical license to practice in Michigan (LPC, LCSW).
- At least 5 years of post-graduate clinical experience.
- Experience with work-related issues at an employer’s worksite.
- Experience in crisis management, substance use, and psychiatric treatment.
- Demonstrated experience consulting with management in organizations.
- Ability to work a part-time in-person schedule: 24 hours/week (3 days a week) onsite.
- Sound clinical judgment applied to both clinical and organizational needs.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Active membership in professional organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- CEAP certification.
Schedule
24 hours per week, 3 days per week, onsite. Preferred schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (open to discussion). Free parking available.
Pay
Hourly pay range for this role is $55.00 – $70.00 per hour.
