Online Mechanical Engineering Technology / Civil Engineering Technology Adjunct Faculty

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology courses
• Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction aligned with industry practices
• Sustain student learning in a fast-paced, 5-week course format
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and academic support to students
• Troubleshoot basic technical/software issues for students as needed
• Participate in scheduled live sessions and office hours (online faculty)

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field OR Master’s degree with 18+ graduate semester hours in the discipline Ph.D. preferred
• Experience: Minimum 1+ year of relevant industry experience required (7+ years preferred) Industry experience must be within the past 5 years Teaching, training, or mentoring experience is a plus

Required Technical Skills

• Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or other 3D design software
• Mechanical Engineering Technology (Preferred): Machine Tool Technology CNC G-Code programming CAD/CAM software
• Civil Engineering Technology (Required): Geomatics & Surveying Fluid Science

Additional Areas Of Interest

• Drafting & Modeling Engineering Mechanics Manufacturing & Machining Machine Design & FEA Thermal & Fluid Sciences Mechatronics

Background in Control Systems, Instrumentation, and Mechanical Systems

• Certifications (If Applicable): Relevant technical certifications or professional licensure

Online Faculty Requirements

• Reliable high-speed internet connection
• Windows-based computer and webcam (must meet ECPI requirements)
• Ability to teach one live session and hold weekly virtual office hours via Zoom
